U.S. Beauty Haul

US Beauty Haul

When I got back from my US trip the first thing my friends asked me was, “What makeup stuff were you able to buy?” The moment I heard it I find it so funny because my friends know me so well! 😛

Call me crazy or OC (obsessive-compulsive) but before I fly out I’ve been keeping a list of beauty and skincare products that I’ll check out the moment I landed SF. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to check them all because of schedule constraints. But thank God for CVS and Walgreens because I get to check out drugstore brands and hoard some beauty products! 😛😻

Aside from drugstores, I also had a chance to visit Sephora and Ulta. You may be shocked but I didn’t get to hoard any item from Sephora. 😱😳 My reason for that is TBH I’m usually a cheapskate whenever I’m on travel. When I see a makeup or skincare item that’s more that $20, I usually back off and think hundred times if I really want to purchase the item. LOL!

ANYWAY. I know you’re here to check out which items that I got from my trip. So, here goes! 💖

From left: Maybelline Great Lash Clear Mascara, Rimmel Stay Matte Makeup PrimerCarmex Daily Care Lip Balm, Tarte Shape Tape Concealer in Light Neutral, Maybelline The City Mini Palette Graffiti Pop, Physician Formula Butter BronzerMaybelline Metallic Lipstick in Serpentine, Wet n Wild Megaslicks Balm Stain in Rico Mauve, Wet n Wild Megaslicks Lip Gloss in Wined and Dined, Wet n Wild Megalast Lip Color in Mocha-licious, Essence IStage Eyeshadow Base

Most of the makeup items that I bought had awesome reviews on the internet. Among the items that I got the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer was the most expensive and I’m really excited to try it out. The Butter Bronzer from Physicians Formula had a lot raves from the internet so I’m excited to try it as well. Also, I’m super amazed that Wet n Wild beauty products are super cheap in the US! Their tube of lipstick costs around $1.99 (which costs around Php 200) compared to a price of Php 299 here in Manila. Super ah-mazing! 😎

Makeup Tools

I was able to buy EcoTools brush sets in Ulta and Marshalls. I was so delighted that the brush sets are far cheaper compared to when you buy one here in Manila. Also, the e.l.f. eyeshadow brushes costs less than $2. It was definitely a steal and I’m super excited to use them. 🤗

SMACKbeauty Brighten Up! Vitamin C Anti-Aging Serum and CeraVe Moisturizing Cream

I didn’t splurge much on skincare because honestly I’m more into Asian beauty skincare products. 😛 However, I got curious when I saw this Vitamin C Anti-Aging Serum from SMACKbeauty. I realized my current stash of Vit C Serum is about to run out, so I decided to but this and hopefully this product will be good on my skin. *crosses fingers*

On the other hand, I’ve been hearing a lot of good stuff on CeraVe so I was able to grab a travel size moisturizing cream from Walgreens. I’ll definitely make a review on this once I’ve tried it. 🙂

Hair, Bath, and Perfume

From left: Batiste Instant Hair Refresh Dry Shampoo, Bath & Body Works Shower Gel in hello beautiful, Bath & Body Works Fragrance Mist in Magic in the Air,
Bath & Body Works Fragrance Mist in Sweet Pea

Lastly, I hoarded a couple of Bath & Body Works because I love their scent, especially their shower gels. I was also curious to try out Batiste Dry Shampoo so I was able to buy one. I usually hoard on perfumes and shower gels so that I don’t need to buy every now and then. 😛

And that’s it on my beauty haul from the US! I would have bought more if I stayed longer and if I have LOTS of money! 😝 I’m really excited to try out all of these products. I’ve started using some of them and will definitely update this blog on the things I’ve tried out. Until then! xoxo 😘

I love everything that amuses me and I hate anything that annoys me.

    1. Thank you! I’ve been looking for a perfect bronzer and lots of beauty gurus are raving on Physician’s Formula 😛 I haven’t used it yet but I swatched it and the texture is sooo buttery. I’m excited to try it out 😀
