My Trip to Incredible India

For my first travel in 2019 I went to India for work and some sightseeing.ย ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ

I went to Hyderabad in January for a one-week work summit. My travel to Hyderabad from Manila took me more than 12 hours because there’s no direct flight available. ๐Ÿ˜“ย I booked via Thai Airways and had a 6 hour layover in Bangkok.

Hyderabad is the capital of southern India’s Telengana state. It is a major center for the tech industries so most global companies have office hubs there. You can definitely notice that the city is not yet fully developed because of so many construction sites.

What I love about Hyderabad is that they have a humongous IKEA store. I tagged along with my team mates to check out IKEA and we ordered so many food that it almost looked like aย mukbang session! ๐Ÿ˜‚

On our last day in Hyderabad, we went to Shilparamam. It’s a craft village which showcase traditional arts and crafts by artisans from all over the country. Of course, I got the chance to shop while we were there! โ˜บ๏ธ

While shopping in India, I was able to develop my negotiating skills! ๐Ÿ˜‚ Good thing the sellers that I’ve encountered were very much reasonable on their prices that I even scored lovely pashmina scarves, ethnic skirts, and a lovely embroidered black bag. ๐Ÿ˜

After a week in Hyderabad, some of us decided to fly to Delhi for a side trip. The flight to Delhi was 2 hours and upon arrival we took an Uber intercity trip to Agra.

The land travel from Delhi to Agra is 4 to 5 hours. Upon arriving Agra, we stayed in a lovely hotel and they even had a traditional puppet show which was very fun and amusing. ๐Ÿฅฐ

Also, while in India I developed a love and appreciation of mojito drink. ๐Ÿ˜›๐Ÿธ

We woke up very early next day for sightseeing in Agra. Our first stop was Agra Fort! I will say no more and will give you a visual eye candy of this wonderful heritage site.

Our next stop was the majestic Taj Mahal! Never in my life that I’ve imagined seeing Taj Mahal in the flesh. It was truly one for the books! No wonder everyone was in awe of this majestic place. I myself was literally gagged and jaw dropped when I first saw it! Seriously. ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜

The entrance to Taj Mahal has this amusing optical illusion.ย  When you stand a few meters from the front gate you will see the Taj Mahal seemingly near but once you walk past the front gate, you will realize that it’s a long stretch of walk to go to the actual marble mausoleum. Ah-mazing! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

I know the photo above did not give much justice on how amazing the Taj Mahal is. And as you can see, I have to squeeze myself to these folks who also want to see the majestic view. Truly incredible! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ

My trip to India was short but wonderful. Too bad we didn’t had a chance to go to Jaipur and other places. Hopefully next time! I promise that I will go back to see more of Incredible India. โค๏ธ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ

I love everything that amuses me and I hate anything that annoys me.
